Why support Invisible Wounds Project? Because your donation and support will help us save lives. In the past 2 years we have helped 400+ individuals and families with therapy and related services. Many of those we serve have nowhere else to turn for services, and they are often at a very critical stage in their mental health. The average client who is referred to our therapy services requires 20 therapy sessions, at an average cost of $4,000.

Invisible Wounds Project’s primary function is to provide therapy services to Minnesota’s military, first responders, frontline medical staff, corrections, dispatch, and their families, relating to mental health, PTSD and suicide issues. We are currently receiving 5-7 new inquiries for services each week, and most of those are through referrals from others. In order to maintain our ability to provide these services, we estimate a need of $1,000,000 in 2022. We have 20 different locations throughout the State of Minnesota who are specifically trained to work with Invisible Wounds Project clients.

Don’t take our word for it, here’s what a few of our clients had to say:

“I want to preface this by saying thank you to you and everyone else who helps with IWP. You guys have made a real difference in my life; you could probably go so far to say you saved it, as I’m sure that without the support I’ve received I would have given up awhile ago.”  ~ Police Officer

“The healing and support provided to me through Invisible Wounds Project saved my life, my marriage and my family” ~ firefighter

“You will always hold a significant place in my life. I don’t know why you reached out that night to ask if I had submitted my application or why you kept responding. But I’m so thankful you did because what you don’t know is that my bags were packed and I was leaving that night. Except the only thing in my bag was a 9mm and while I told myself over and over that it was selfish and my kids didn’t deserve that. I didn’t know how to fix my situation and as an RN and a mom, that is what I do. I fix. Everyone in my house was sleeping and I had just closed the gun safe when your message came through and you… you kept responding and for that alone. I will forever be grateful. We are in such an amazing place as a family now. I’m so glad I didn’t miss out on this.” ~ Nurse
