Scott Rose has served in law enforcement for over 25 years in SE Minnesota, currently serving in his 3rd term as Sheriff in Dodge County located just west of Rochester.  Scott currently serves on the Minnesota Law Enforcement Memorial Association board of directors, and as the Vice President of the Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation of SE MN, in addition to serving as a board member for the Invisible Wounds Project.

He is also the host and producer of the Officer Down Memorial Podcast, which was created in 2020 to help survivor families and agencies honor and remember heroes they’ve lost in the line of duty.   The podcast has featured stories of over 50 fallen officers and has been downloaded in all 50 states and over 70 countries.

Scott lost one of his best friends and mentors, Captain Loring Guenther, in the line of duty in 2013 – a loss he believes would have been avoided had the agency had wellness programs in place to support staff struggling within their agency.  The loss of Loring became his “Why” and he truly believes in IWP’s mission to ensure all first responders have a place they can go for support from an organization that understands what they are going through.
